7月14-18日，第12届世界化学工程大会暨第21届亚太化工联盟大会在北京召开。7月16日，由清华大学化工系承办的第1分会场“工程伦理教育与化工产业可持续发展”在国家会议中心成功举办。本分会场由清华大学化工系主任张强，清华大学化工系教授、中国化工学会工程伦理教育工作委员会主任委员赵劲松及墨尔本大学学术委员会主任David Shallcross共同担任主席。本次分会场以“工程伦理教育与化工产业可持续发展”为主题，来自国内外高校、科研院所及产业界的近70位专家学者与企业代表齐聚一堂，围绕工程伦理教育创新路径与化工产业可持续发展实践展开研讨。

开幕式上，中国化工学会副理事长兼秘书长方向晨强调，随着新一轮科技革命和产业变革的蓬勃兴起，化学工业亟需响应全球可持续发展的迫切需求，勇于探索支撑全球可持续发展的化工解决方案。面对传统产业转型、绿色低碳发展、创新范式变革、激发新增长点等挑战，把坚守化学工程师伦理守则，加强工程伦理教育作为现代工程技术发展的关键所在，也是培养新一代创新型化工人才的必然要求。

本次分会场通过全天的深入研讨，不仅展示了国内外在工程伦理教育与化工产业可持续发展领域的最新成果，更搭建了学界、产业界跨界交流的桥梁。与会者一致认为，加强工程伦理教育是化工产业高质量发展的必然要求，唯有将伦理意识深植于人才培养、技术研发和产业实践中，才能实现化工行业的真正可持续发展。张强在闭幕词中指出，本次分会场的对话并非终点，而是行动的起点。他呼吁将共识转化为切实行动，携手践行可持续发展目标，共同推动化工产业迈向更安全、更绿色、更负责任的未来。
